SAP’s recent efforts to diversify and strengthen its AI capabilities show its commitment to the AI environment. The company recently announced partnerships with IBM and their Watson offering as well as with Microsoft’s OpenAI. While IBM Watson will be integrated into SAP Start, a central portal for SAP cloud applications and SAP S/4HANA Cloud, MS Azure’s OpenAI service and Microsoft 365 Copilot will enrich SAP’s SuccessFactors and enhance talent management. SAP has also expressed interest in collaborating with Aleph Alpha, a German AI specialist, to develop generative AI and large language models. In this Expert View, PAC will summarize and evaluate the deals.
