AlmavivA, a leading Italian ICT provider, reported revenues of €1,266 million in 2024 (+9.5% YoY), with €822 million coming from domestic operations. Growth was fueled by strong demand for IT and innovative technologies, especially through its subsidiary Almawave, while the CRM/contact center business slowed, prompting a shift to higher-value services and AI-driven offerings.
The IT business performed well across all sectors. In Italy, AlmavivA won major public sector contracts in social services, defense, healthcare, tourism, and water management. Internationally, it expanded its work with the EU and enhanced its global visa services. In transport, the company reinforced its ties with Ferrovie dello Stato and advanced smart mobility and intelligent transport systems, expanding internationally. In finance, it supported banks in modernizing core processes. Almawave also developed Velvet, a suite of multilingual GenAI models, to unlock global opportunities.
Strategically speaking, AlmavivA streamlined and evolved its portfolio in three segments: IT services, CRM/contact centers, and innovative data/AI technologies. Its GIOTTO Digital Ecosystem integrates expertise in AI, cloud, cybersecurity, IoT, and blockchain through specialized Competence Centers, Insight Hubs, and Innovation Labs. In CRM, the focus shifted to digital engagement solutions in Brazil, Colombia, and Tunisia. Almawave continued to drive AI innovation in Italy, Brazil, Spain, and the US.
Growth was also driven by acquisitions, including MEA Engineering (water utilities), Iteris (US mobility solutions), and TIVIT (Brazil, digital services). AlmavivA won projects with Italian public administration, EU institutions, and global transport and mobility companies. However, PAC highlights the company’s vulnerabilities due to its reliance on a limited set of sectors and clients, especially amid economic and geopolitical uncertainties.
This Vendor Profile provides more details and an assessment of AlmavivA’s strategy and positioning, plus a detailed analysis of its offerings, vertical expertise, and performance.
