Microsoft Generates its Own Platformization and Refines its Sovereign Posture in AI Security – InBrief Analysis

AI agent proliferation is hitting the headlines every day, but it is also causing concerns for governments over cybersecurity. OpenClaw, with a fully autonomous warehouse of AI agents able to make decisions with no or limited guardrails, is the nightmare of security experts. So far, there have been many point solutions available on the market, offering basic anti-adware AI solutions for the browser and DLP-like anti-data leak solutions.

At a 2-day event (May 6 and 7, 2026) in Paris, Microsoft R&D Security confirmed and detailed many of its partial product announcements made in late 2025 and early 2026 and provided clear guidance on its posture and strategy.

In a nutshell: If the attackers are drones, the responders must be drones, too. It is all about symmetry.
