Expert View: Urban Climate Resilience Through Digital Twins

Cities have started to turn their attention to digital twins to improve their climate resilience. While there are multiple relevant use cases, we will focus on flood risk and the urban heat island effect. Cities close to the seaside, such as Rotterdam and Helsinki, simulate the impact of flooding to identify the best countermeasures, while Zurich analyzes the impacts of development projects in terms of their effects on the wind and airflow.
