Cybersecurity - Palo Alto Networks - Vendor Profile - Worldwide

Palo Alto Networks offers a broad, integrated cybersecurity platform spanning Network Security (NGFW, SD-WAN, DNS, IoT/OT, Prisma SASE with Prisma Access Browser), Cloud Security (Prisma Cloud/CNAPP, including Prisma AIRS for AI security), and Security Operations (Cortex XDR/XSOAR/Xpanse/XSIAM with the Cortex Extended Data Lake), complemented by Unit 42 services. The portfolio emphasizes AI-driven prevention, consolidation, and cross-product data leverage.

Strategically, the company takes a consolidation-first platformization approach aimed at expanding ARR within existing accounts. Priorities include a software-led mix in Network Security, sustained SASE momentum, rapid XSIAM scale-out, and building an AI security pipeline via AIRS.

The announced CyberArk acquisition (pending closure) is meant to add privileged access and broader identity security as a fourth pillar integrated across platforms.

PAC’s view: Palo Alto Networks is well positioned on integration depth and data/AI utilization, but execution remains key—especially integrating CyberArk and continuing to prove TCO/outcome advantages amid intense competition in CNAPP, SASE, and SecOps.
