The level of maturity of these efforts and the chosen approach vary from country to country, with the upcoming EU AI Act considered as the first law on AI passed by a major regulator anywhere. However, the emergence of generative AI and its rapid adoption have led to new challenges. While promising to transform business with its disruptive applications, the unique nature of this technology may also involve unprecedented risks.
