Accenture confirms its leadership on the global IT Services market
PAC recently published its first vendors rankings at global and regional level for 2022.
Accenture was the fastest growing vendor in our Top 10 with an impressive +31% to EUR 54 bn IT Services revenue (+16% in US$ to US$ 57 bn) and is now more than twice the size of its nearest competitor. Growth in local currency was impressive in all regions, with nearly 20% in North America and over 25% in Europe and “Growth Markets” (ie, APAC, Latam and MEA). External growth contributed ca. 4%.
In its first year after the Kyndryl spin-off, IBM retained second place, with +17% in EUR (+4% in US$). While the hardware-related “infrastructure support” business grew by only 3%, the “consulting” business reported a remarkable +15% (both in local currencies).
TCS managed a strong +24% in EUR (+11% in US$) with a strong performance across the regions, taking the second place in Americas (from Cognizant) and the fourth place in Europe (from Atos).
Capgemini maintained fourth place at global level with +22% in EUR (+8% in US$; +17% in local currency) with substantial growth in both Europe and North America (15+% in local currency) and impressive acceleration in APAC and Latam (including some M&As).
Deloitte is the new entrant in this top 5, posting an impressive +30% in EUR (+16% in US$) and winning 3 places; however Deloitte takes advantage of its US-heavy business, combined with the US$ reevaluation (ao, +11% vs. EUR and + 19% vs. Yen). The US generated approx. 65% of Deloitte Consulting’s business – compared with 45% for Accenture and IBM, 52% for TCS and 30% for Capgemini.
The top 10 is completed by Cognizant (+18% in EUR, +5% in US$; also taking advantage of the US-focused business, generating nearly 75% of Cognizant’s global revenue!), NTT Data (+6% in EUR, -5% in US$, severely impacted by Yen depreciation; while doing quite well in Europe), Kyndryl (+4% in EUR, -5% in US$; impacted by its infrastructure-heavy business), Fujitsu (-2% in EUR, -13% in US$, losing 4 places; severely impacted by the Yen devaluation, with Japan generating 61% of worldwide revenue; and by the infrastructure-focused business) and Infosys.
Infosys is the sole newcomer in our Top 10, displacing DXC. Infosys posted impressive +29% in EUR (+15% in US$), with a strong performance both in the US (62% of worldwide revenue) and in Europe.
