SAP Services - Atos - Vendor Profile - Worldwide

Under its new strategy, Atos has reignited its SAP service capabilities as part of its Smart Platforms service line, one of its top six service lines. It highlights Atos’s new portfolio approach, taking a focused partnership and service portfolio approach. SAP is clearly strategic for Atos and accounts for ~80% of its Smart Platforms business.

Atos has aligned its SAP service portfolio with SAP’s new Business Suite offering, i.e., SAP’s full software portfolio, including Cloud ERP, Business Data Cloud, embedded AI, and BTP. With this move, Atos wants to make it easier for clients to align with SAP’s priorities and innovation strategy. Atos has also aligned with SAP’s clean core approach, with BTP playing a central role, rather than highlighting its current capabilities around S/4HANA or RISE with SAP. Atos, therefore, wants to offer comprehensive services rather than a portfolio of fragmented services.

GenAI is a priority for Atos’s SAP practice, with an emphasis on:

  • Maintaining the same service portfolio but rebalancing the portfolio from applications (e.g., S/4HANA and the SaaS applications) to data, analytics & AI.
  • Deepening partnerships with the hyperscalers around GenAI, e.g., analytics of data collected through IoT platforms, around Microsoft 365.
  • Adapting the skills of its service delivery and shifting from functional to technical skills. Atos anticipates that LLMs will automate process reengineering and, accordingly, configure the SAP applications, using requirements collected in a spreadsheet.
