Platforms to orchestrate data exchange and monetization between different companies (data providers and consumers) are not a new concept. Thanks to the IoT, this concept has been enjoying a renaissance recently.
The aim of this report is to take a fresh look into the different approaches that we see in the vendor landscape and highlight success factors, patterns and insights in the market. The idea is to give platform providers, data consumers and data providers an overview of the diverse vendor landscape in this field and give advice on what does and what does not make sense from our perspective.
