Top 15 IT Services in Americas

Accenture confirms leadership, Leidos and HCL fastest growing in the Top 10

PAC published its first vendor rankings by 2024 IT services revenue in the Americas a few weeks ago. No change in the Top 10, yet substantial discrepancies in terms of growth.

Accenture remains the undisputed leader on the American IT Services market. IT service revenue grew 4% in 24 (+2% in 23), with a progressive acceleration along the year (flat in Q1, +1% in Q2, +6% in Q3 and +11% in Q4, in local currency). Growth includes some inorganic component, however the bulk was organic. Accenture managed to take advantage of the market recovery (which started in the US in the second half of 24) like no other competitor. Moreover, Accenture confirmed with another +11% in Q1 25; yet Accenture also emitted a warning due to the deteriorating environment, ao, linked with the DOGE program.

Deloitte managed to keep growing, however the pace of growth slowed down massively with +2% in 24 (+13% in 23), similarly to the other Big 4 (see below).

Tata Consultancy Services decreased by 1.5% (+3% in 23), with no improvement during the year (-2%, -1%, -2%, -2% in local currency) and even in Q1 25 (-1.5%).

IBM decreased its IT services revenue by 4% (+2% in 23), the Consulting unit being more resilient than the Infra Support business.

Cognizant grew 2.5% (-1% in 23) with a progressive acceleration along the year (-0.5%, +1%, +4%, +8.5%), confirming with +9.5% in Q1 2025. Most of the growth came from acquisitions, yet organic growth has shown a positive trajectory.

TOP 15 IT SERVICES (excl. BPO) AMERICAS (PAC)

Infosys was flat (+1.5% in 23), with a slow start and a strong Q4 (-2%, -1%, -2%, +5%), yet no confirmation in Q1 2025 (-0.5%).

General Dynamics Information Technology grew 2.5% (+3.5% in 23), PwC reported +4.5% (+7.5% in 23), Leidos grew 10% (+7% in 23). GDIT and Leidos (like Peraton and CACI below) benefited from the healthy defense market and posted further strong growth in Q1 25 (both at +7%).

Last year, HCLTech and Capgemini were head on head fighting for the 10th place. However the 24 performances were once again quite different: while HCL grew 8% in 24 (+7.5% in 23), conforming its place in the Top 10 and showing a quite consistent growth (+9%, +8%, +7.5%, +6%), Capgemini reported a 4% decrease (-1% in 23), yet with a continuous improvement (-7%, -4.5%, -4%, -1.5%) and is now ranking 12th. However, while Capgemini returned to growth in Q1 25 (+1%), HCL was only flat.

Dell Technologies was flat (-10.5% in 23), Peraton grew remarkable 7.5% (+6% in 23), EY grew 2% (+13% in 23), CACI International Inc grew remarkable 10.5% (+8.5% in 23) thus entering the top 15. Kyndryl decreased 10.5% (-5% in 23) and is now out of the Top 15.

Wipro (+1%), NTT DATA (-3.5%), Oracle (-3%), and KPMG (+4%; new entrant) complete the Top 20. Behind, CGI (+2.5%) is the most promising candidate while Allegis (-4.5%) and DXC Technology (-8.5%) were both losing ground.

Note: Including BPO, 3 specialists would enter the top 20: ADP (ranking 5th), Fiserv (7th) and Global Payment (16th); yet all 3 operate on very specific markets (payroll & HR resp. payment).
