Dr. Cristian Wieland returns to PAC as Chief Digital Analyst & Innovation Officer
Munich, July 2026 – PAC, the leading independent European consulting and analyst firm in the areas of digital transformation, software, and IT services, is strengthening its leadership team: Dr. Cristian Wieland has taken over the newly created position of Chief Digital Analyst & Innovation Officer (CDA/CDIO), effective July 1, 2026.
With this appointment, PAC underlines its strategic ambition to build the next generation of data-driven market research. The focus is on further developing the PAC Data & Analytics Platform, a modern research platform that combines decades of analyst expertise with standardised data processes, AI-supported analysis and a scalable data architecture.
Dr. Cristian Wieland has many years of experience at the intersection of research, data analytics, consulting and innovation. After completing his doctorate in statistics at the University of Osnabrück, he joined RAAD Research as Managing Director & Chief Analyst and established their Research and Consulting division. In a previous role at PAC, he was responsible for international consulting projects for IT providers and, together with the leadership team, further developed the company’s consulting approach. Most recently, he led the SAP Alliance business at EY in Germany and was also responsible for extensive digital transformation programs and initiatives in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
In his new role, Cristian will lead the continued development and company-wide scaling of PAC’s Data & Analytics Platform. By connecting PAC’s well-established research capabilities, proprietary market data and analyst expertise within an integrated environment, the platform will enable faster, more consistent and increasingly sophisticated analysis. It will also accelerate the use of AI-supported research, forecasting and decision-support methods across PAC’s portfolio.
The platform builds on the PAC Research Methodology, which provides a common framework for quality, validation and documentation across all research processes. Combining these rigorous standards with scalable, data-driven methods, advanced analytics and AI allows PAC to continuously enhance the depth, speed and relevance of its market intelligence while maintaining the analytical judgement and local market expertise that distinguish PAC.
“Our analysts’ expertise and their ability to interpret complex market developments remain our most important differentiators. The PAC Data & Analytics Platform enables us to amplify this expertise, connect insights more effectively across markets and deliver even greater value to our clients. Cristian brings the ideal combination of scientific excellence, research experience and innovation leadership to drive the next stage of this development,” says Daniella Campbell, CEO of PAC.
With the return of Dr. Cristian Wieland, PAC is setting another milestone in its strategic transformation into a modern, data-driven research organisation.
