A firsthand look at GenAI in action
A senior leader from a major logistics firm shared a compelling example of how Wipro’s AI team has helped the company improve productivity. By implementing a GenAI-based recommendation chatbot for supplier invoice queries, they have significantly reduced response times, moving from a traditional ticketing system with a 3-4 day wait to instant responses. The firm’s future plans include expanding the use of GenAI to customer-facing applications, document analysis, fraud detection, and RFI filing. The leader emphasized that GenAI is not used for every small task; rather, there is a co-existence with more traditional automation technologies such as RPA to avoid excessive usage of resources.
AI-driven innovation in engineering
Wipro’s deep expertise in manufacturing and engineering continues to give it an edge in AI-driven product innovation. With a strong background in product design, embedded systems development, and IoT, Wipro has provided some examples of how they integrate AI into engineering processes. Its AI-first vision focuses on embedding GenAI into products such as vehicles, medical devices, industrial machines, R&D processes, and value chains. Wipro’s “AI Factory” approach, which leverages large-scale AI assistants for LLM training, further solidifies its leadership in the engineering space.
