Figure of the day: Major goals of digital transformation projects - CxO survey - Germany

49% of the enterprise leaders in Germany we interviewed for our CxO Investment Survey say that enhancing existing products and services is a major goal of their organization's current digital transformation projects.

In the last years’s CxO Survey, more than half of all companies have set a major focus on enhancing their products with new services and developing completely new business models with the help of digital technologies. However, compared to last year’s results, less companies have set a major goal on pursuing a future-oriented and innovative approach. This development is in line with the COVID-related current focus on efficiency and short-term RoI. However, in the long run, pursuing a more innovative approach will be essential.
