Figure of the day: Increase in IT budgets 2021 in the USA

66% of U.S. companies we surveyed in our annual CxO survey reported increasing IT budgets in 2021 compared to 2020.
 
Expectations for 2021 are high, as the availability of vaccines is likely to make the pandemic much more manageable, and the economy looks set to return to growth.  Another finding from our CxO survey in the US is that IT budgets allocated in IT departments will exceed IT budgets allocated in LoBs. Despite the increasing independence of LoB decision makers, companies understand that better control over their IT spending and visibility into new/ongoing projects can increase efficiency.
