Figure of the day: Application Services in the UK

Application-related services (consulting, system integration, training and application management) will generate a £14.5bn (€16.5bn) market in 2021 in the UK, building the second largest market in Europe.

Following a strong 12% decrease in 2020 (-13.5% in Euro), worse than the European average (-9.4%), the market is expected to rebound, however not returning to its 2019 level before 2024. 

The 2020 performance clearly reflects the combined impact of both the Brexit and the health crisis, although the UK market takes advantage of a higher share of resilient segments (application management; public sector, telecom) than the European.
