Figure of the day: Application Services in Italy

Application-related services (consulting, system integration, training and application management) will generate a €6.1bn market in 2021 in Italy, building the fourth largest market in Europe.
Following a substantial 11% decrease in 2020, thus building one of the most impacted markets by the crisis, the Italian market is expected to start to rebound in 2021 and to accelerate in the coming years, thus reaching its 2019 level in 2023.

The Italian market suffered more than the European average for structural reasons: small share of public sector and application management (both resilient markets), high share of small and medium businesses (more impacted by the crisis). However a few large accounts maintained or even accelerated their digital transformation during the crisis.
