Figure of the day: Application Services in Germany

According to PAC, Application-related services (consulting, system integration, training and application management) will generate a €17.4bn market in 2021 in Germany, building the largest market in Europe.
Following a moderate 8% decrease in 2020, better than the European average (-9.4%), the market is expected to rebound in 2021 and to accelerate in the coming years, thus clearly surpassing its 2019 level as soon as in 2022.

The 2020 performance is remarkable as the German market is characterized by a slightly lower share of application management (more resilient than traditional project services) and a much higher share of manufacturing (among the most impacted industries) than the European average.
