Figure of the day: Application Services in Austria

According to PAC, Application-related services (consulting, system integration, training and application management) will generate a €1.5bn market in 2021 in Austria, making it the thirteenth largest market in Western Europe. Following a moderate 4.2% decline in 2020, the Austrian market is expected to recover in 2021 and accelerate in the coming years, becoming one the very few markets to overpass the 2019 level already in 2021.

Austria represents by far the smallest among the DACH markets, generating 6% of the region, well behind Germany (75%) and Switzerland (19%). The region as a whole proved to be significantly more resilient than the European average.
