Artificial intelligence is very much present in the UK manufacturing community. According to PAC's UK CxO Survey 2020, 48% of the respondents said their company has an AI strategy under development. This was most noticeable for Manufacturing for which 63% fall into this category.

However, those already with an AI strategy in place belong to sectors including the Public Sector, Utilities, and Retail, Wholesale, and Transport. As such, there exist enough opportunities for IT providers to sign AI-based deals in the UK. Most of the AI investments over the next two years will go to AI-enabled IT operations applications, cloud-based AI technologies, AI-enabled security platforms, and training internal staff.
