On-Premises Public Cloud – a Solution for Low-Latency and/or High-Security Environments - InSight Analysis - Worldwide

Until recently, cloud capacity was provided through large, centralized data centers. Today, however, a new generation of cloud-native applications is emerging in sectors such as manufacturing and energy, which, in many cases, are latency-sensitive. Traditional centralized cloud architectures will not be able to meet expectations in terms of quality of user experience for these applications. Cloud resources have to move closer to the edge of the network, sometimes on-premises, where content is both created and consumed.
