Snowflake extends SAP landscapes primarily in scenarios where large volumes of structured business and external data need to be made available quickly, securely, and at scale for analytics. The strategic integration with SAP BDC combines the strengths of a scalable cloud data warehouse with SAP’s business process semantics. However, SAP’s acquisitions of Reltio, Dremio, and Prior Labs are reshaping the company’s long-term architectural decisions and significantly strengthening SAP’s own data and AI stack. In the foreseeable future, however, Snowflake will by no means become obsolete.
