Expert View: Do platforms like SAP BTP offer a solution to the architectural issues of cloud-based application environments?

The cloudification of business application landscapes has led to the disintegration of traditional, proven application architectures. Instead of a central, monolithic ERP installation that all other business applications dock on to, loosely coupled cloud applications are emerging. Central integration and development platforms should ensure closer integration of cloud applications and provide a uniform domain and data basis.
