Bechtle is evolving from a traditional IT reseller and system house network into a more integrated European IT services provider. This Vendor Profile examines how the company is expanding managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, AI, digital workplace, and software capabilities while retaining its strong regional customer relationships.
European expansion and services growth
Bechtle operates through more than 120 companies in 14 European countries and serves over 70,000 private and public-sector customers. Its country-level, multichannel model combines local system houses, digital sales, specialist units, and central service platforms. The report assesses whether this model can improve cross-selling, service standardization, and international delivery without weakening local entrepreneurship.
Acquisitions remain central to growth. Recent transactions in Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, and Hungary have added capabilities in cyber recovery, managed infrastructure, IT asset management, cloud cost optimization, product lifecycle management, and cybersecurity.
Strong market position, patchy profitability
Bechtle benefits from a leading position in Germany, extensive public-sector access, major technology partnerships, and a broad multi-vendor portfolio. In 2025, the company generated €8.60 billion in business volume and €6.41 billion in reported revenues. The report points out that business growth has not yet translated into consistently stronger profitability, partly because personnel, integration, IT, and administrative costs remain high.
Outlook until 2030
Bechtle targets at least €10 billion in business volume and a 5% EBT margin by 2030. The report concludes that the volume target is achievable, but the margin target will require more recurring services, greater automation, faster integration of acquisitions, and stronger international profitability.
