Leading providers of IT services - EMEA

PAC recently published the first rankings at global and EMEA level, taking into account 2020 revenue. Usually we publish our vendor rankings considering the fiscal year ending in that specific year. We will stick to this policy for our multiple, extensive rankings (by country, by products and services, by industry, by topic/ offering). However, given the strong impact of the Covid 19 crisis in 2020, we decided to add some short vendor rankings at worldwide as well as at EMEA level considering a more comparable fiscal year. For this, we considered 4 consecutive quarters, with the last one ending in Q4 2020. This allows for a better comparison of supplier performance.

Looking at the Top 10 IT services at EMEA level, the adjusted ranking shows Accenture taking the lead for the first time, just ahead of IBM. Capgemini completes the podium. Atos and DXC round out the Top 5, followed by TCS, CGI, Sopra Steria, Deloitte and Fujitsu.

NTT Data, T-Systems, Cognizant, Orange and Infosys complete the Top 15.

Clearly the performance varied strongly depending on the positioning (offering, industries), the country mix (with companies strong in France and the UK more exposed to the crisis) and the realized acquisitions (Altran’s acquisition even enabling a two-digits growth for Capgemini).

Only 3 companies in the Top 15 managed to post growth: Capgemini, NTT Data and Orange. Behind, the most resilient performances were recorded by TCS and Infosys (flat), Accenture, Deloitte and Cognizant (1-2% decrease).

DXC and Fujitsu (both impacted by the UK market situation) reported the strongest decrease.
