Figure of the day: Local department-specific IT budget - CxO survey - Spain

After an excellent 2019, local department-specific IT budgets are the most impacted, from an expectation of over 76% to an actual increase of only 49%. This trend is even more pronounced for medium-sized companies in the telco, ICT, media, and tourism sectors. This fits with the need to control IT spending better and improve the orchestration and alignment of projects. Over the last few years, IT budgets in LoBs had increased quite quickly, but were lacking a coherent, coordinated approach.
