Many digitalization projects are focused on efficiency gains related to internal processes. This trend has probably been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which forces companies to prioritize efficiency and short-term ROI. 55% of the CxO Investment Survey participants in Switzerland consider operational excellence as another major goal of their current digital transformation projects. Digital topics such as AI, robotic process automation (RPA), and big data analytics can help to increase business efficiency.

The survey results confirm that it is vital for Swiss companies and those with offices in Switzerland to remain innovative, even in times of a global pandemic: 51% of respondents are looking to establish an agile and innovative organization and culture, in order to keep pace with the rapid changes in the market.
