The UK defence sector is set to embark on a period of unprecedented change and disruption, which will aim to put data and technology at the heart of its transformation.
As part of its efforts to track market developments, PAC recently attended the DSEI 2025 event in London. This was the largest defence sector event in the UK, bringing together leading figures from the Ministry of Defence, politicians, and industry suppliers.
The event took place just two months after the publication of the Strategic Defence Review (SDR), which saw the MoD set out a vision of modernising the UK’s approach to defence against an escalating and rapidly evolving threat landscape.
The Review document included the word “digital” more than 80 times and underlined several times that data and technology are going to be critical to enabling the armed forces to operate at maximum effectiveness.
