Additive manufacturing is a niche market today and will remain one in the future. Market drivers are growing process automation capabilities, numerous support services, and new printing materials. However, we observe limited maturity and investments in process automation, shrinking budgets for support services, and persistent complexity related to material certifications. This limits market attractiveness; nevertheless, companies should keep an eye on unexpected breakthroughs.
