33% of the enterprise leaders we surveyed for the CxO Investment Survey worldwide intend to spend more on cloud computing over the next two years. Cloud computing remains one of the most important topics on respondents’ IT agendas. This is fully in line with the challenges companies are facing with regard to efficiency pressure, agility needs, and necessary innovation and transformation.

The cloud is definitely considered as one of the key requirements that companies need to have in place in order to progress their digital transformation agendas. Initiatives such as cyber security, big data, and IoT will drive cloud adoption even further. Also, compared to 2019, analytics and data management further grew in importance on the agendas – topics that are at the heart of most future businesses and that typically also go hand in hand with cloud usage. This digital core obviously has to be secured, hence the top scores for cyber security.
