Figure of the day: Application services in Western Europe


According to PAC, Application-related services (consulting, system integration, training and application management) will generate a €89bn market in 2021 in Western Europe.

Following a 9.5% decrease in 2020, as several segments collapsed, the market is expected to rebound in 2021 and to accelerate in the coming years, thus surpassing its 2019 level in the course of 2023. 

Germany (20%), the UK and France (19% each) make the bulk of this market, ahead of the Italy (7%) and the Netherlands (6%). France was the most impacted market by the pandemic, Switzerland the most stable one.
